Rylie's Story

In 2013, at the age of 7, Rylie was diagnosed with aggressive bone tumors that disintegrated her facial bones. Her mother, Janie, learned about the efficacy of cannabinoids and decided to give it to Rylie hoping it might prevent recurrence. With the help of whole plant botanical oil, Rylie defied everyone's expectations. Rylie's smile returned.

Today, Rylie is partnered with Front Range Biosciences to research optimum plant production. Her focus with her team is to supply quality whole-plant botanical oil to all generations looking for holistic relief to various debilitating health conditions. Research is a big part of Rylie's Sunshine's goal since it is one of the dilemmas Rylie's family has noticed can hold back patient care and legislation, besides lack of quality and access. Rylie has chosen specific targets that her team agrees are lacking in research and need to be pushed to the forefront.

  • Sharlene Mavor

    Diagnostic Pathology

    Sharlene is a Medical Scientist (BAppSc -Medical Laboratory Science) and director of Medical Cannabis Research Australia who has been researching how Medical Cannabis may treat an ever-increasing array of disorders. Her university background in diagnostic pathology gives her the knowledge to understand disease processes in the human body.


    She’s traveled to the US, Canada, Israel, Colombia and Chile to learn firsthand from the leading researchers in this new field of cannabinoid science. She’s passionate about sharing this knowledge by educating others under the banner of her charity Medical Cannabis Research Australia.


    She is committed to advocating for use and access to medical cannabis for patients in Australia as well as promoting more research to give clinicians the evidence they require to pursue this treatment for their patients, both in Australia and in the rest of the world.

  • Dr. Reggie Gaudino

    Research & Development

    Dr. Reggie Gaudino oversees the cannabis genetics and scientific research division for Front Range Biosciences (FRB). Formerly the President at Steep Hill, the acquisition of Reggie and his team has significantly advanced FRB’s breeding program, resulting in additional unique and advantaged cannabis and hemp varieties.


    Previously, Dr. Gaudino has served as a genetics researcher with 18 years of intellectual property experience in patent writing, management, and prosecution in fields as diverse as software and telecommunications to biotechnology and molecular genetics. Research from Dr. Gaudino has been peer-reviewed and published, leading to important new discoveries in the cannabis industry.


    As an internationally recognized leader in the field of cannabis genetics, Dr. Gaudino has served as a patent agent at Sequenom, Inc., managed IP-based acquisitions for the Vortice Research Group, worked at four law firms focused on biotechnology, and has served as an advisor to multiple portfolio investment companies. Dr. Gaudino received his B.S. in Molecular Biology and Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and conducted four years of post-doctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis.

  • Maggie Fauver

    Registered Health information Tech

    Maggie Fauver is a registered health information technician (RHIT) who began educating herself about the science behind medical cannabis in 2014 when a prominent neurologist recommended it for a family member suffering with MS, and she was asked to be their caregiver. In 2015 Maggie joined Canna Care Docs, a medical cannabis specialty practice, as Mid-Atlantic Operations Manager; launching the company’s mid-Atlantic expansion. There she worked closely with state regulators and physicians to educate and ensure excellent patient outcomes and smooth implementation of numerous states' medical cannabis programs.

    Maggie gained unique experience scaling operations at Canna Care Docs from startup mode to eventual acquisition and listing on the CSE. In 2021 Maggie joined Cannaline, a craft cannabis packaging and custom brand design company as part of the management team focused on expansion.


    Fauver has been a key presenter on medical cannabis at various speaking engagements where CME credits have been awarded, such as the Brain Injury Association & the American Association of Professional Coders annual state conferences. 

  • Dr. Mark Rabe

    Integrative Medicine specialist

    Dr. Mark L. Rabe is an integrative medicine specialist and leading figure in the evolving field of cannabinoid medicine. Dr. Rabe earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School.  He is the Chief Executive Officer of Rabe Medical Solutions, LLC, a company that offers consulting and education to individuals seeking to attain optimal health and manage chronic medical conditions using natural methods. Dr. Rabe is also Director of Cannabinoid Program Development at PharmaCyte Biotech.

    Previously, Dr. Rabe served as Chief Medical Officer of California’s largest network of physician-owned integrative care centers. There he hired and trained medical personnel, organized public educational symposia and media outreach, conducted research and supervised the recommendation of natural treatment options to over 100,000 patients in 20 medical clinics across California. Dr. Rabe graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biochemistry from Benedictine University, where he performed research in the area of cancer drug synthesis.



    Paul is a pharmacist who has been researching the potential for medicinal marijuana as a treatment for several years. His company was granted the first medicinal cannabis import license in Australia and he is currently distributing medicinal cannabis products to eligible patients. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge from his hands-on research in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
